Mac Specs: MacBook Pro with 1GB ram

Hey there all,
Don't know if i'm being stupid or simply that iTunes can not do the task i want it to do.
I can create a playlist, and i can burn a cd which is great.
BUT When i play this CD in say a car stero or a windows PC i do not get any of the track information. Say where as you would see eg. Ne-Yo - Girlfriend, i see Unknown Artist - Unknown track.
Just wondering if any one could help me?
