The only major virus that Disinfectant doesn't cover is the AutoStart worm. You can find instructions on how to check for it below.

I'm surprised that you suspect a virus, simply because most of the old Mac viruses died out long ago. They're just not "in the wild" anymore...most of the vulnerable systems were junked a long time ago, and modern OS X Macs aren't susceptible to the old viruses. Let me know what you find, I'm curious.
