If you're only talking about the diff in price between the 512 GB and 1 TB flash storage - if you want it, that's what it's going to cost you.

Except for the Samdung EVO, don't think you're going to find a 1TB SSD for less than $900-$1,000 just yet. Double the price of the 500GB SSD. Although, I'd guess the rest of them should drop in the next 6 months down to where Samdung has theirs priced.

There is always a market for the highest end gear.
