DropBox, Google Drive, Amazon Cloud Drive, Box or whatever cloud based system you use. Its easy and very quick.

Yes thanks for your suggestion, you can do that with cloud drives. But I have scripts which copy PDF's to my iTunes library (and my wife's), and some other techniques I use. Once in iTunes, the PDF will sync with my iPhone and iPad, and I'm hoping iBooks on my iMac.

As for iBooks on my Macbook, I can just drag and drop the PDF's, but that's not very convenient.
