Have to agree Nick. When I had the memory problems with the G5 I went through weeks of frustration regular kernel panics. After weeks of vacation where I was unable to do any testing I ran memtest and one of the modules failed within the first two minutes. Replacing the ram fixed the problem.

I had initially assumed that the ram was good because this was literally a new machine and it had passed the Apple Hardware Test. Apparently the memtest results were more thorough and ultimately more accurate.
