It sounds like you are running the application from the disk image. Clicking on that app, isn't going to install the app into the Apps folder, you'll need to drag the icon in the disk image over to the Apps folder, like technologist said. Some applications do use an installer to install the applications into the Apps folder by you only needing to click continue and finish and so forth, but it doesn't seem like it's the case this time around. Okay, Ill drag the application icon to the folder I want it in. Now what about the rest of the files and folders that are associated with the application? Can I make a folder and get all of those files and folders for that application and just drag them in there?
