G'day and welcome to the forums.
Have you run the printer software from the CD or gone to the manufacturer's web site to download the version that runs with whatever OS X you are using?
Hang on to those original install discs like grim death! Using OS X.7 or later make a bootable USB thumb drive before running Installer!
