Adding memory to your 13" MBP will benefit you in two ways. (Assuming you add 4 GB to up the total to 8 GB)

1. Somewhat faster performance depending on what you're running.

2. The real benefit is in the amount of memory that the Intel HD 3000 will borrow from the system. When 4 GB is installed, it will borrow 384 MB, however, when 8 GB is installed it will borrow up to 512 MB. The result is more graphics memory for better graphics performance.
