Are the fonts not printing through the printer correctly or changing in the document? Unfortunately, "print" has two very different meanings.

If it's not changing the font size in the document, make sure TextEdit is set to "Rich Text" (Format > Make Rich Text). If it's plain text, the text will change sizes when you change it in the font dialog but will not be saved with a different size.
