Normally it shouldn't take two hours...it usually only takes a 5 minutes or less for me. If it's been a long time...maybe 10-15 minutes. But you may use your computer differently than me...so who knows.

The repair permissions process may also depend on how big the hard drive is. I have a 160gig HD...if yours is larger...than that may somewhat explain the longer repair permissions time.

As Harry may be suggesting...there may be some hard drive issues...thus you may want to head back to Apple to have them check it out. But even if the "Repair Permissions" says it will take 2 hours...I would give it a shot first before visiting Apple.
