But that's exactly what I DON'T want to happen...the whole library won't fit on my laptop. That's why I moved it to the NAS to begin with. I just want a couple of movies for the airplane and/or the hotel.

Apple advertises that iOS can stream content from a homeshare if you turn that feature on (in the iOS device). Was just trying to figure out if that bought me anything...
