That's great. You can buy the $29 OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard DVD directly from the Apple website. That will get you iTunes 10.1 no problem.

Then later if you feel the need to do so, you can upgrade to 10.7 Lion. Although a RAM upgrade would be recommended first.
