You will not qualify for a discount but the children will, so buy the mac for them.

You should be able to get a very decent iMac for that price, but there are a couple of money saving tips we all recommend on the forum.

1. Order the mac with the base ram, don't order extra ram from Apple, it comes at a premium and it is much cheaper to upgrade the ram later yourself.

2. Educational discount aside, another big way to save bucks is to look at the Apple UK refurb store (Google it). Don't be put off by the refurbs, they are essentially returned and fixed macs, you get some money off the SSP price and its still got the full warranty - its a new mac in all but price
