Thanks for the fine essay on backing up a Mac.

I have a MacBook Pro running Leopard. I use time machine, and I have a bootable disk that came with my MacBook. Is there any reason for me to make a clone image? I'm not worried about the trouble of doing it; when I've used Windows it's been regular maintenance. I'm just wondering if there's any advantage.
