I have the 15" and my sister has the 12." I think Apple was smart to put out the powerbook in these two models. I like the 12" because it's soooo compact. The darn thing is ABOUT the same size as your regular sheet of copy paper. That's awesome. You could surf while taking a dump...you could single handly pickup that laptop... It's so much more agile than the 15" version. You make sacrifices in features...but consider if you really really need those features... Do you really need PC card slot? Probably not...amongst other features.
The 15" (mine is the ultimate version) is an awesome full featured mean machine... I need a PC card slot (I've got a SCSI and SD reader) for my travels. It's large enough to not kill the table on the flying can, and barey small enough to be managable. I especially like the proportions of the unit. Also lets not forget the illuminated keyboard and the way it's integrated into the LCD illumination...WOW!!!! Good idea apple.
As for the 17"...no comment...just seems too big...
