They are not interchangeable and later Radeons require PCI-E 2.0 slots which the Mac Pro 1.1 does not have. Suggest you look on eBay for Mac Pro graphic cards.
Hang on to those original install discs like grim death! Using OS X.7 or later make a bootable USB thumb drive before running Installer!
