[Sorry if this basic question was answered in a previous thread - if so I couldn't find it!]

I have a PPC (G5) iMac circa 2005. Need to upgrade the RAM - currently have only one DIMM slot occupied with a 256MB chip. (Yes it's lame, I know. Obviously I'm not a power user.)

I've read/heard many times that it's best to balance both DIMM slots with RAM of equal capacity. Third party reseller sold me two 1GB chips, but one of them is labeled PC3200 DDR and the other is PC2700 DDR.

I've read that 3200 and 2700 are functionally equivalent in some ways, but will there be any problem/risk in using them together?

Thanks for any education you can provide...
