Assuming you're referring to the second drive, yes there is a way to format it so that it will be read and write capable for both operating systems. Use FAT-32 as the format. However, FAT-32 is limited to a single file size of around 4 GB.

Otherwise, you can format the drive to NTFS and install Paragon NTFS in OS X for full read write capability. It's $19.95 and works well.
