I recently posted about purchasing more RAM for my computer, and after looking for a while found a 4gb chip from OWC. But after thinking for a hard minute, I thought that maybe mixing and matching RAM wouldn't be a good idea.
My logic was that since I have 2 1gb chips installed, I could remove one, replace it with the 4gb one, and have 5gb of RAM. would this be true, or do the two RAM modules need to be the same?
thanks all.
