HELP HELP HELP!!

I purchased a MacBook Pro on eBay a few months ago and I am quite pleased with it. The laptop did not come with any installation software when I purchased it and I knew that before I bought it. The previous owner set it all up for me and it was ready to go when I received it.

When I set up my user account I used a password that I use for my pc so that it would be easy to remember. When I attempted to install some software I was prompted to enter my account password and IT DID NOT WORK! I am concerned that I may have mistyped the password when I set up my user account and now I have NO CLUE what it could be!

How can I retrieve that password? Is it possible? ANY suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
