I'm afraid I don't have another Mac. Every time I try to boot with the Leopard install DVD I get a screen with the aurora image and nothing else - no language selection, no installation options, nothing. I don't see anything unusual in any of the logs, but I'm not a Mac expert. Some other observations that may be useful: - I can boot into safe mode, but it comes up with a bluish wallpaper and I have to hit F7 to get to the login screen
- If I boot into verbose mode, I don't see any command details until I select the Shutdown option and the shutdown process begins
- If I boot into single-user mode, the screen remains dark as if it didn't boot
