Yep, DR is right. I don't know of any Solaris systems that run AV as well. Sorry, they just don't exist. The only way that a malicious script could get on the system, replicate and spread is if you allow it by giving it root permissions and even then it would be limited to just that machine as the others on the network would require local permissions for it to be installed and run. For what it is worth, I have never run AV on any nix system that I have administrated (Solaris, Linux, OSx).

Malware is not a virus.... This could happen but the user still has to install it to work.
