Hello
I'm also thinking about getting one of the new MBP with a SSD drive
Is there anyone here intimately familiar with the current SSD technology? The SSD have limited number of writes (or is it deletes). I know they can employ clever algorithms like wear levelings and so on to make these drives last longer. So I'm wondering if their useful lifespan is comparably to a regular hard disk.
I might be willing to pay the premium for the improved battery life and to a lessor degree the performance. But I'm curious if they will still last 3 or 4 years out (or outlast the other failure prone hardware in these laptops).
