Aux cable woes

Hi all, newbie from UK here Can anyone here tell me if I have a faulty phone or just making a simple mistake? I have an Logic 3 cable, as in here, but when I connect it to my cars aux socket, the iphone continues to play through its own speaker & no sound comes from the car stereo. I have tried it in another car, same result

The cable likely just doesn't work with the iPhone. Some accessories like the iTrip are known to not work, others just sorta work. Try looking for a cable that is specifically iPhone compatible.

you can get an ebay cable, real cheap, and works wonders. you can even click the MIC button on it and goto next song
