What size Wallpaper

Since the native screen resolution is 1280 x 800, I would say 1280 x 800 is your best bet.

However, even if you get larger wallies like for instance 1680*1050, the OS will scale it down to the right size on it's own. It will however consume a little more resources while doing that.

I have always felt that the native screen resolution is the right size for my wallpaper. You get the best reproduction of whatever the image is if the OS doesn't have to do any resizing.
