Okay I just bought a Seagate Freeagent and now my mac won't find the internal startup drive
This is what I do:
1. boot up mac
2. hook the hd to the mac
3. backup
4. disconnect the hd
5 if I reboot my mac the next day or something it flashes the folder on me.
6. Everytime I want to boot into OS X I have to hold option and then manually select the proper startup drive in system preferences
Is there a proper way to disconnect the drive? I just eject the HD from my desktop and then just unplug it from the wall outlet.
