Network Drive and Apple Airport Extreme

I have the last generation airport extreme which has a usb port on the back. Will it be possible to use that port with an external hard drive so that all my computers can use it for backup (time machine) ?

For the time being no, the only wireless storage device that will work with time machine is the time capsule.

hm ok what about use without time machine

just as a network drive?
