I'm having trouble with my new mac book and new router. I just purchased a new Belkin N router to replace my Netgear router. I can access the internet wirelessly from my Macbook fine until I put the security on. I have tried both WPA and WEP. Both security methods will allow my PC laptop to connect wirelessly but the Macbook will work for a few minutes and then it loses the IP address. The airport then assigns a random address which doesn't allow it to connect.

Any ideas??

Try a static IP or WPA2.
