I just saw a film called Sideways which was surprisingly very good. I don't usually go for something I don't recognise and it doesn't have any big stars in it - the leads are Paul Giamatti, an avarage looking guy playing a depressed, failed writer who goes on a wine tasting road trip with his stocky, womanising best buddy played by Thomas Haden Church - an actor best known for playing Sandman in Spiderman 3.
It's one of those very 'real' movies with characters you care about, in the same genre as About Schmidt or Broken Flowers - another two great movies that any Jack Nicholson or Bill Murray fans should see if they haven't.
Anyway, I just thought I'd mention Sideways - these smaller movies need a boost and I don't think I'm alone in my opinion as it got 96% on Rotten Tomatoes.
