For some software I want to run which is made or pc's only at this time, can I run windows on my iMac? I'm currently running OSX Tiger 10.4.11 If I can, will it negitively affect my performance I now enjoy. Thanks in advance.

I haven't figured out everything quite yet but I've got Windoze 98 running on my imac (running OSx 10.4) by running VMWare's Fusion. All my Windows programs run perfectly and when Fusion is not running (and even when it is!) there's no effect on the mac side.

Yes it's a 2.16 GHZ Intel Core 2 Duo processor.

If you upgrade to leopard then you can use Bootcamp to run windows (from apple - comes with Leopard)

If you want to stay with tiger then VM fusion and parallels are your options: you will have to purchase a windows XP disk as well though
