I'm connected to a network server at home. Most of the time when I close my MBP and open it back up later it reconnects to the server without a problem (I have the network icon in my toolbar and I just click on it to remount).

Sometimes, though, when I open my MBP it shows the "?" over the network icon so I can't mount it. When I go to Finder>Go>Connect To Server and try to reconnect it says that I'm already connected. Can anyone tell me what I might be doing wrong? Thanks in advance!

I've NEVER seen a "?" over the network icon. EVER!

What's the "toolbar"?

What's your DNS server settings?

Well what was the answer? Anyway, if a share is already mounted, you could go anywhere in Finder, and then keep pressing Command+up arrow until you reach "Bling Blang's Computer" with all the hard drives and network shares shown there...
