I'm looking for a case to protect my 17" MBP. The ideal case would be:
I haven't found anything that meets all those requirements. The best candidates I've found are these:
I did check out the cases thread in the hardware forum, and it made me a little worried about the Speck. I didn't see any of these other cases discussed, though, so I thought I'd try here.

- slim
- have a carrying handle
- allow me to open up the laptop inside it (e.g., by having zippers all around)
- be somewhat firm (to both cushion it and to protect from things laying on it)
