May I ask a question?

This has less to do with this forum specifically than with Mac "support" forums in general. I've probably posted at least half a dozen OS X questions in various forums, including Apple's support forum, over the past three years or so. Unless I've forgotten one, I believe I've got a 100% record of not having gotten a *single* response, much less a helpful response, to anything I've ever posted.

What's the point of having user support forums if nobody bothers to answer a legitimate question?

I'm about to rip my last remaining hairs out with a Leopard problem, and have posted the identical question on four different forums, with nary a single response yet.

Apple is less than worthless for 'tech support' these days, what with their ace Indian crew only able to read from their scripts and assuming every caller is a moron (yes, I know how to restart a Mac, thanks).

It's starting to feel more and more like Windows folks.. Time was when Apple users stuck together like glue, and when they supported each other with shared knowledge and tips. No longer apparently.

I feel a little better now, but I still have my problem...

Welcome jrheilig.

Are you referring to this thread of yours?

http://www.mac-forums.com/forums/showthread.php?p=532847#post532847

If you are it was posted this morning at 08:29 AM my time. So I would say you are a tad impatient. And please into consideration that some questions are a bit more difficult to answer. And in that post of yours, you would need to add the version of the OS: Leopard is generic - are you using 10.5 or 10.5.1?

And it would be a good idea if you added what you have done so far in terms of troubleshooting on your own.

And don't reply here, please. Put this missing info in that thread of yours.

This Suggestions/Comments/Site Support forum has nothing to do with fixing OS X problems on a Mac unless it has to do with a problem encountered while navigating this website.

BTW, love the fact you're complaining and then never show up to answer the questions being asked in your original thread so people can actually try to help you.

Yep...lends alot of credibility to your statement.

1. Your problem seems pretty freaky... if no-one in the forum you post in has had the same problem you cannot expect any good answers.

2. Being inpatient and negative does not encourage people to help. We're all here mostly because it's fun.

3. I always get answers when I start threads, and I always answer other threads if I have anything constructive to add... If you've not gotten any answers to your threads in three years, maybe you should look at yourself and the way you post, and not complain that the rest of the world ignore you.
