iPod. Zune only works with Windows, doesn't it? I wouldn't install Windows, well I'd have to purchase a copy first, just to use an MP3 player.

This seems like a rather pointless thread at a Mac forum considering the Zune only works on windows...

The zune is still several generations behind imo. I'd still buy an 80gb iPod.

You can't be serious??!! This is a Mac forum. The results, almost by definition, will be heavily slanted in the iPod's favor... not to mention that the Zune is not even close to the iPod (and don't forget the amazing eco system of iPod "stuff" out there as well).

First, after owning two iPods and an iPhone, I would never think twice about going to the dark side. I have not had any problems with my iPods, they just work and they do their job perfectly!

Just browsing the net in the last hour, I was reading stories on why you should get an iPod repaired instead of buying a new one, getting great headphones for your iPod and protecting your iPod. Not one story mentioned the Zune. People think MP3 players, they think iPod.

Most of my Microsoft Windows loving friends use iPods. Most.

I have no friends who own a Zune.

I don't think Windows users' will stick to the The Zunes just because Microsoft makes them.

Post this on a microsoft forum and i guarantee the results will be totally opposite...

I would think ipod would still win in the polls not because Apple is so "great" and Mircosoft "sucks" it's because ipods is "in". when you think of an mp3 player you would think ipod. Of course the ipod dominates the mp3 world because it is doing something right. I would say in a few years "ipod" will become a super brand
