Connecting Macbook to External Monitor Help....

Hey All,

I just bought a Mini-DVi to VGA adapter and it works just fine. The picture is perfect since I am using it with an ACER 2703 flat screen tv.

This may be a dumb question but, "How would I get sound from the macbook to the display??"

I thought that this cable would of done that but i guess it was just for the video, not audio...

you can get a cable that connects to the headphone jack out of the macbook to the appropriate sound input area of the TV. Usually radio shack has connecters like that and they could help you find the right one.

vga/dvi cables are only for video and and not sound
to get your sound over to your display you would have to used something like this:

does your monitor have one sound input or two (stereo)
because if it just has one like mine if it didnt come with one; it just needs a male headphone to male headphone cord which is like 6 bucks at radioshack
