Hi All,

This is probably a stupid question, but would a non-powered USB Hub be able to transfer enough juice from my MBP to power a keyboard and/or a laser mouse?

Thanks!

Well, given that nobody here replied, and all the results on Google are conflicted, I decided to take the plunge and order my hub. I guess I'll let y'all know how it goes so the topic will be searchable with a resolution.

PS: Anybody know how to edit the subject line of a post? I'd like to correct my typo to "Non-Powered USB Hub", but the usual editing utility doesn't grant that option... Maybe a mod can help? Thanks!

I use a bus-powered hub with my old iBook without any problems so you should be fine with one for your MBP. Just don't leave it plugged in if you put the laptop to sleep with the cover closed.
