Good article. The one issue I would add is that Applecare is a little tricky for those of us on the West Coast in Canada. Their business hours are 6:00AM to 6:00PM PST, so I have about an hour in the morning when I can reach them before going to work or about half and hour when I come home from work if I leave at 5:00PM. I called once at 5:40 and was on hold till 6:00PM and then the line went dead.
