For redundancy, I'll point out what has already been said: the key words in this article are notebooks "we've tested". There are faster notebooks out there.

Actually, other PC makers (who were tested) have been "PWND". The OS has nothing to do with it. Obviously, since it's the same software being run on all the laptops, including the MBP.

Like fleurya said, the Macbook Pro isn't nearly the top performing laptop on the market. Once you get into desktop replacement territory, the MBP is left in the dust.

As Fleurya pointed out, the key words are we've tested.

The MBP is a decent notebook. It is by no means the fastest, or even close to the fastest notebook out there.
