How would the speed of the program be affected if I put Parallels and Windows on my external hard drive in order to save space on my hard drive?

That depends on the speed on the connection and of the external drive. I would imagine that if it's a 7200rpm operating on a Firewire 800, I'd say the speed difference probably wouldn't be significant... But, then again, I've never actually run an entire OS off an external drive...

Please do keep us in the loop vis a vis your experience...
