I know some of you guys have logic, but what are your opinions on the different music editing software available for mac? Which do you think is the best(or the best for which kinds of projects?)?

I don't want to spend that kind of money unless I'm sure it will be worth the step up from garageband.

I'd also love to hear about this too, BTW. I've been using Adobe Audition on PC, which suits all of my audio editing needs, but I'm switching to mac next week (Leopard), and I've been searching for an Apple software alternative/replacement.

I'm a DJ and I have posted threads about this a few times..

The only thing I have ever seen / used is Logic which is well worth every cent spent on it.

I like protools, but its pricey. I have been using mixmeister fusion on windows for making mashups and it works out fairly well. Too bad Numark owns it.
