iTunes help!

Hey. I tried to open iTunes as I've done many times and today i get an error message: The file iTunes Library cannot be read because it was created by a newer version of iTunes." In my ignorance I found the newest version 7.4.2 (what I had previously was 7.3.2) and the eror messgae still persists. What gives, antbody?
