Unlocked iPhone restore

Hi,
I have just recieved my unlocked iPhone from the US and is working with my Orange SIM. Everything is fine except WiFi - I think the problem is with the MAC address on the phone http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=306067
It seems the solution is a restore. What I need to know is whether the restore will relock the phone or not.

Ive sorted it now by resetting the network settings in the phone menu.worked like a charm! I'm typing this on my iphone now

For the record, a restore should not re-lock the iPhone. As the unlock affects a different part of the phone.
