How can I get rid of this really annoying monotone voice on my mac that tells me everything I'm doing and every letter I'm typing?

MBP 15" 2.4GHz 4Gb OCZ RAM
heh, I had it tell the time.... got very annoying real quick lol

anyway, go into System Preferences, Universal Access, in the Seeing tab, click on Open VoiceOver Utility
