imarlow: Nice shot! But I'd expect nothing less from a MK3 user :)

Nice work, good lighting and great expression. It could probably use some color adjustment/skin tone. Cute girl too.

Here's my entry:

It's a tube for an amplifier I think... we found it whilst clearing out our band room - it looks like it could be a part of a 1800's time machine!

Taken with my SE K750i - and I'd really like to get a proper camera at some point... blast these university fees!

Thank you.

She is part Arabic and so the olive skin tone is natural, but in the sunlight it looks as if it is uncorrected.

Hmmm, I'm a beginner when it comes to photography and such, but I did take this 3 days ago with a Canon S3.

Interesting, but a little on the creepy side. You might want to try taking a full color shot and muting all the colors but the eye, instead of everything else in B&W.

Your picture reminded me of something that has been bothering me lately. Is it just me, or has anyone else noticed how Hollywood is shamelessly adding color to the eyes of certain main characters in movies? They're really going overboard. It's been done for a while, but recently it's being done to the point where it's blatantly obvious and a little scary. If someone like me with a vision problem can tell, I can't imagine how bad it looks to someone with normal vision.

I'm not sure how to "mute" colors. I did a "remove color" outside the eyes.

baShakhbuurz wanted to see "something different than sunset", of which I got a few incredible shots of that evening.

Sony DSC-P200, Oct 8, 7:19pm
Manual setting of: 5 seconds, f2.8, 7.9mm, ISO 100
No tripod, so used ledge and set timer to trigger shutter.

No, a friend og mine. I did a lot of processing and added the high key effect by toying with the B&W levels. I believe there's five layers there. Maybe six or seven. the original is here: http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2079/1511583904_11bd665288_o.jpg
