Problems registering new macs?

Has anyone had any problems registering their new macs with Apple?

I just recently purchased a new iMac (yay) and I cannot get the registration to go through on the site. It tells me my serial number cannot be identified. After a couple attempts it'll then ask me to enter my MPN, but of course. I don't have that, because it was on the barcode that was cut out.

Has anyone else had this problem with the new macs? Should I just call it in?

Might need to call. I registered my iMac about a week and a half ago with no problems.
