Printing Problems

I tried searching the forum for answers but couldn't find any.

I bought an Imac 20" 4 months ago and now starting to print pictures with my Canon i950(old model). The colors on my Imac and i950 prints are not the same. The picture and colors looks great on the Imac but very dark when printed. I'm using Iphotos, genuine Canon ink and photo paper. Any suggestion? New printer? Calibration tools?

Calibration tools are the thing to look into.

Or just make your on screen finished results a little brighter to compensate
