I have been using both Safari and Firefox. I think I like Safari better, but have a question. When I am downloading a file from Firefox, I have the option to save as on files when downloading. Does Safari not let me do that? Thanks in advance!

I am trying to download a .WMV file and it saves it on the desktop as a text file... Do I have something messed up in the settings? Can I change the TXT file to a WMV file?

you can change where safari downloads in the preferences tab under "safari" at the stop of your screen. it's good to make a folder just for downloads.

wmv = Windows Media Video
macs cannot read these without help.

you want the first download, with the WMV in a circle. it allows quicktime to play wmv files and is over all a very good app to have.

I don't believe you can convert a text file into a video!
