I have two separate video files that i need to splice together seamlessly into one. What is the best way to do this? Oh yeah they are .avi files if that matters.

If you have Quicktime Pro and the movie will play in quicktime, it's actually really easy:

1) Just open the first movie and scroll all the way to the end.
2) Select and copy (command+c) the second movie file in the finder
3) Switch back to Quicktime and paste in the second movie and the end of the first movie (command+v)
4) Hit Command + S to save the altered first movie.

Any other options besides QT Pro? Unfortunately I don't have pro. Does VLC have this capability?
