Doesn't surprise me. Linux has made tremendous progress in the past few years. They provide a lower cost, stable OS alternative to Windoze.

After 20+ years, IBM is finally breaking away from MS.

Well, maybe that's technically not true since Thinkpads are made by Lenovo, not IBM.

I hear IBM has the greatest warranty, they cover almost anything. Good for IBM for moving away from Windows.

Before deciding to switch I almost bought a Thinkpad for their great reputation and their standard 3 year warranty. If I ever have to get another Windows laptop, it'll probably be a Thinkpad.
