I have a couple hundred of pictures from a family vacation that my mom took. The problem is that she used a ridiculously high quality and it's taking about 2 gigs of HD space. Is there any program I can use to resize a large number of images simultaneously? I don't want to go through and adjust a couple hundred images individually. Free would be very nice too

Photoshop isn't free, but its Image Processor (File, Scripts, Image Processor) does just this - it can process an entire folder of images and write them to another folder. It can change sizes, color spaces, etc. I use it often. It works well. Highly recommended ... of course, you have to have Photoshop, which is just a bit pricey!! :)
